This Cord is an authentic recreation of the 1931 Paris Automobile Show car. This vehicle was built using an original Cord chassis and running gear. Every detail of the original is seen in this recreation including the liquor cabinet and humidor in the doors. Car collector Dr. Fay Culbreth commissioned Stan Gilliland of Kansas, to build the vehicle. The coachwork was carefully constructed by Mark Kennison to identically match the vintage Cord. After its exhibition in Eugope it was returned to North America. The fate of the speedster originally styled by Phil Wright is unknown. Technical: The 1931 front drive Cord is powered by a 298.6 cubic-inch displacement Lycoming in-line eight-cylinder engine, which produces 125 horsepower. The custom-bodied speedster is built on the standard 137.5 inch wheelbase.
