The second-series of 1925 Auburns were the first new Auburns built under the leadership of E. L. Cord.
The Auburn Automobile Company produced 1,250 units of the 6-66 series. They were available in four body styles: sedan, brougham, roadster, and touring. The body was built by the Limousine Body Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
1925 marked the first year that the Auburn engines were produced by the Lycoming Manufacturing Company of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The 6-66 series was marketed as being “The Greatest Six Value in the World.” The leather interior was standard in both the open and closed body styles and was purchased from the American Leather Producers, Inc. of New York City, New York. The 6-66 series carried on into 1926 and 1927.
